DarkPaw and RubyKit

Short stooooooooory tiiiime~!


A small figure in the corner of the apprentices den rustled at the entrance, slowly creeping past several bundled up apprentices, towards the back of the den with a medium-sized apprentice. Easily mistakable for a warrior. The small figure stretched out towards the dark tabby's leg and prodded it repeatedly. "Darkpaw.." It whispered shakily, "Darkpaw...!" It repeated "Wake up!!" It mewed a bit more strictly, but still holding the gentle but shaky voice.

    "What!?" Hissed the tabby (obviously) tom bitterly, opening a golden eye, he saw that it was simply little RubyKit. His sister. "Erm..." he started awkwardly, "Sorry sis," Darkpaw fidgeted his paws nervously, now seeing the shaky expression on RubyKits face. "What's wrong?" He asked, giving a small sigh.
'Rosepaw probably did something..' Darkpaw thought, hiding an annoyed look from RubyKit as she opened her muzzle to speak.

    "I..." She looked at her paws embarrassed, sitting down defeated. "I..Had a nightmare.." She mewed, trembling a little bit. "Can I sleep with you tonight..?" she squeaked, ashamed. 

    Darkpaw blinked. Both eyes opened now. "Why didn't you just ask CreekSong....?" he questioned, giving way mid-sentence to a yawn. 

    "I d-did!" RubyKit squeaked, "She just told me to go back to sleep in my nest.....I don't..." She paused, tail lowering. "I don't think she likes me very much Darkpaw.." RubyKit finished with a hurt gaze.

    The tabby began to bristle, becoming twice his size (he was already floofy o3o) Then suddenly felt pity for the tiny kit. She was considered a runt. But that didn't mean....They had to treat her like that!!!!   The tabby tom let out a sigh, "Alright," He purred gently (OMG DID HE JUST...O.O?) "You can stay with me tonight," He offered, swaying his tail to the side so she could get in closer.
    RubyKits golden eyes lit up at his offer, and she basically lunged forward into her brothers warm, fluffly belly, letting out a purr as he curled his tail around her tiny body. It looked...so fluffy to her. Without waiting another second she-- now sleepily-- climbed onto/into his tail, sinking into it almost as quickly as she fell asleep purring.
